- Day 1- Arrival Srinagar
Once arriving to Srinagar, travel to Dal Lake and spend the night in a houseboat. Have a
romantic Shikara ride in Dal Lake later for two to three hours and enjoy the experience. Night on
a houseboat in Srinagar.
- Day 2- Srinagar – Sonamarg – Kargil
After breakfast proceed for Kargil via Sonamarg, and continue northwards towards Drass. It
includes crossing the Zoji La Pass, which is often closed during the winter due to heavy snowfall.
Drass the second coldest place on Earth, stop at Drass, and pay homage at the Kargil War
Memorial. Spend the evening exploring the local market and trying traditional cuisine. Night at
Kargil.
- Day 3- Kargil – Rangdum
After breakfast proceed to Rangdum. After a short drive from kargil we enter to Suru Valley and
on our onward journey we will enjoy the massive Nun and Kun Peaks, Parkachik glaciers,
Rangdum Monastery. Finally, arrive at Rangdum, a remote village nestled amidst towering peaks
and glaciers. The highlight of Rangdum is its ancient monastery. Night at Rangdum.
- Day 4- Rangdum – Padum
After Breakfast proceed to Padum. Via Pansi la pass (one of the highest motorable passes in the
area, rising to a height of more than 4,400 meters.), Sani Monastery (known for its beautiful
frescoes and ancient relics), Karsha Monastery (Largest monastery in Zanskar Valley, offering
stunning views of the Padum Valley.) Night at Padum.
- Day 5- Padum Zanskar Local Sightseeing
After breakfast visit Karsha Monastery (One of the largest monasteries in Zanskar), Stongdey
Monastery (Situated on a hilltop overlooking the Stongdey village), Zangla Palace (an ancient
fort located near Padum) and in evening we can explore the local market. Night at Padum.
- Day 6- Padum – Kargil
After breakfast depart for kargil. In route we will be having an amazing view of Sankoo Valley a
picturesque valley known for its lush greenery and terraced fields. Mulbekh is known for its
ancient rock-cut statues of Maitreya Buddha. Finally, we will reach kargil and you are free to
stroll around or have rest at hotel. Night at Kargil.
- Day 7- Kargil – Srinagar
After breakfast we will proceed for Srinagar via Sonamarg. In route we will be seeing the most
beautiful Thajiwas Glacier which is in Sonamarg and then we will be proceeding for Srinagar by
visiting Nilagrad River which is located 6 kilometers from Sonamarg a picturesque spot where
the confluence of the Indus River and a tributary creates a beautiful sight. And then finally
reaches to Srinagar in evening and you are free to leisure. Night at Srinagar.
- Day 8- Departure from Srinagar for your onward journey.
